Atlas Science
The inspiration for the Atlas came from metal halide and T-5. Quanta wanted to introduce a product that produces a blanket of light like a T-5 fixture and the punch and color of a 14,000k metal halide.

Switching It Up
Instead of traditional 3w LED diodes, we created the Atlas with SMD2835 – a major breakthough with significant gains in efficiency. With lower wattage diodes and more of them (720 LEDs per fixture!), the overall heat load and temperature are reduced, making the Atlas significantly more efficient than the leading $1,000 light. The Atlas produces more PAR running at 200 watts than a competitor at 285 watts which, in turn, reduces electrical costs and carbon footprint. Producing 60-71% efficiency gains over the competition, it is the lowest 5-year total cost light on the market.
The Atlas Difference

What's In A Reflection?
Our reflector for the Atlas achieves the “punch” of the best metal halide fixtures. Lighting deeper tanks is no longer a problem. By using a radial lens, the LEDs are able to blend the individual spectrums better than a traditional single lens. The rough, matte finish of the reflector ensures that all of the light is sent into the tank, reducing glare, further diffusing the light, and reducing disco effect. In addition, the reflector also introduces multiple angles for the light to travel, resulting in reduced shadowing – a critical design feature that increases the growth rates and reduced die-off of SPS colonies.
Take It Easy
We simply want you to enjoy your coral. Our lights are designed to be simple to set up, use, and clean. No confusing instructions, buggy apps, or complicated cleaning steps. Focus on what truly matters: gorgeous coral.
Grow Along
With 0-10v dimming and selectable wattages, simply operate the light at the power level needed to achieve your results. Want to go from a mixed reef to a SPS-dominant reef? Just turn the Atlas up – no need to buy more lights!
Ditch The Shadows
Introducing multiple angles for the light to travel, our reflector greatly reduces shadowing. Most coral, especially SPS colonies, dislike shadows, making the reflector the ideal accessory to increase growth rates and reduce die-off.

Sea The Difference
The diffusion of the Atlas and the multi-angle light pathways create a better simulation of what corals experience in the sea. The small format size of most LED lights don't achieve shadow-free performance, forcing customers to buy more lights to ensure healthy coral. Whether you have frags or a large colony, the Atlas outperforms the competition .
